She got her first leading role in the movie Aanachandham alongside Jayaram.
Remya faced the camera for the first time while she was still in high school for director Sharath’s Saayanam where she played granddaughter to O. Madhavan’s character. The rising star hopes to play roles that are related to social issues. Sharada and Manju Warrier top her list of favorite actors.
Eventhough Remya acted in 7-8 malayalam films, she was not able to achieve a position as a top mainstream actress. As is the case with most of the Malayalam actress she too decided to try her luck in Tamil movies. And like her predecessors she also had to shed her homely image to do more glamorous roles.
She recently stunned the film industry by doing a photo shoot wearing micro mini shorts and exposing her thighs. After this photo-shoot she is getting offers from the industry to commit more glamorous roles.
